At least the proverb says that. A wonderful creature from my trip to Galapagos a couple of years ago. Just incredible animal.

Is a quote from the famous photographer Chase Jarvis. And when I ask a lot of photographers all seems to agree that the important thing is to “get the shot”. Todays image is of a hawk from Galapagos. We where going snorkeling, and I could only bring my waterproof GoPRO with my wetsuit, and these magnificent birds was all around. Our guide was a bit afraid that we where going to get a little to close, since they are prone to attack if they feel like it, but I just had to try to get a shot. So I tried to line up for my shot. Crawling on my knees, trying to make my presence known for the bird without spooking it, and with my GoPRO that have no screen so that I could try to compose the image, and no settings that I could alter, I tried to get a decent shot. And I did, of course I should wish that I could have brought my DSLR, but that was not an option at the time. But most importantly. I got the shot.

Todays image takes me back to the Galapagos. One of the most fascinating places I have been on the very earth. I did not get to see the northern islands, but they sure are on my bucket list.

The animal Kingdom is amazing, and Galapagos is just the best. This black iguana was just sitting on the rocks, and was blending in nicely. Just found it amazing.

I enjoy pelicans. It is just something about there behaviour. Todays image is from the archive, and shot from a zodiac at Galapagos

It is not always easy being a photographer. As in street photography, sometimes animals try to hide (that statement makes more sense the other way around… but you get my point). But this little fellow just made its message very loud and clear. This is my turf, and I know you where you are there, and just keep your distance 🙂 Iguanas is just so amazing animals.
Shot in Galapagos a couple of years ago.

I am still looking at images from my Galapagos trips from a couple a years ago. Tonight image is a sunset as a view from a boat. I am as I guess you all have figured out, quite fascinated with the islands.

The albatross is the worlds biggest flying bird…… And are quite impressive , I shot this one outside Galapagos some years ago. But I have to admit , they kind f look like a huge sea-gull.

I enjoy shooting travel, street and animal photographs. At least , that is what I like to take images of when I bring my camera and gear. Sometimes when you look at old images, and takes them thru the creative process they give you a different feel, and you see a different potential in them.
The image of the day is from my trip to The Galapagos Islands a couple of years ago, and this little seal was posing nicely at a rock. I do not have much experience doing portraiture or modeling shots, and this I guess is as close as I can get. The seal have definitely learned how to catch the light, and striking a pose for the photographer.
