Todays image is from the magnificent land of fire, or “Tierra del Fuego” in the southernmost part of Argentina. I visited the place before I went to Antarctica last fall. A beautiful place.

Todays image is from a market in Buenos Aires , Argentina, when a salesman was tending to his booth. I was on a nice little photowalk with a very nice company named http://www.foto-ruta.com that showed me the town, and we got to get some shots of the vibrating street scene. Shot is taken back in october of 2015.

This is the famous lighthouse in the Beagle channel outside Ushuaia. It is not the lighthouse in the Jules Verne novel “The lighthouse at the end of the world”, that is a little further out, and even more inaccessible. But it is still makes for an excellent view, and serves very well as a note of caution of the dangerous waters in the areas.

I am in Ushuaia, and I got an opportunity to take a little morning trip with a boat down the Beagle channel, and seeing some of the local islands , and the stunning scenery here in the “Tierra del Fuego”. The choosen image is of a couple of seabirds that was relaxing on top a little island in the channel.

I have finally made it to “The land of fire / Tierra del Fuego”, and the lovely port town of Ushuaia. It is quite cold, and there is snow in the air, but regarding temperature it is nothing compared to what is coming during the next weeks. Todays image is of the busy harbour here in Ushuaía, that is where I will be leaving from in a few days.

I have spent the day today together with Lisa from Photo Ruta in Buenos Aires, and it have been an excellent day seeing this quite lovely city. During the day I have gotten a little taste of what this city have to offer, and I am quite stunned. I am in the process of importing my images, but I just had to share one from todays “catch”.

I have started my trip that are going to end up i Antarctica, and just arrived in Buenos Aires earlier today after a long and quite interesting journey getting here. I have just taken a short look around the area where the hotel I am staying at is located, but it certainly seems that the locals enjoy a little patch of green in the concrete jungle here.

In one month I will be on my way to South America, and then onwards to the Southern Oceans. So looking back into the archive I found this sunset from Easter Island, that gave me a view in the right direction.
