Picture of the day: A view from above (Torghatten)

Another day, and another view of the mountain Torghatten, that I have depicted so many times before. But this time it is from a different angle, above. I was out and about with some friends on an other mountain, that is about twice as high as Torghatten, and that makes for a spectacular view.  Just notice all the small islands, surrounding the spectacular mountain.

Picture of the day: Beautiful Helgeland

Todays image is shot a couple of weeks ago, and depicts the mountain Torghatten. This time from an other viewpoint. The mountain sure looks good.

A kind of postcard ….

Todays image is of  my hometowns pride and joy , the mountain Torghatten, the mountain that I have depicted so many times before. But of some reason still stands resolute (it is a mountain)… and I still feel there are a lot more images to be shot of it. It is a bright and sunny day today, and I felt like sharing this one from earlier today.

Picture of the day: A view from above

It is a quite lovely day here in Northern Norway, and I went on a short hike to get a good vantage point overlooking the my hometown of Brønnøysund, and its two most famous mountains. Torghatten on the far left, and Ramtind on the far right. Shot with a drone at about 100 meter above sea level.

Picture of the day: Day of geology

Today is geology day.  I have to admit, this was kind of new to me, but still… Around my hometown there are a lot of famous mountain, and the most famous is Torghatten that have a gigantic hole thru the entire mountain, and is quite the phenomenon in the geology field. You get a sense of the size of this hole in the image below. So today there where an excursion up to the mountain, and a professor gave a lecture about the mountain and how it have been shaped and so on. Very nice hike, and quite interesting lecture.
