Dogsledding trip on Svalbard

I wrote a little story the other day about a dogsledding trip I did on Svalbard. This was a very nice experience, and the sun was up, and we where in a very nice valley named Bolterdalen outside Longyearbyen.

Here you see the “home” of some of the dogs. The dogs are extremely hardy, and enjoy the extreme climate you find in the arctic.

Here you have a couple of dogs a little more up close and personal.

And last I have made a short little video from my trip with the dogs on Svalbard.

Picture of the day: The many horses on Easter Island

One of small facts that I found most fascinating about Easter Island was that there are over 3000 horses on that relatively small Island, and only 100 that are being uses for tourism purposes. That implies that you will be meeting horses everywhere you go on the island, and it can be quite a site.
